DJ Sir Juice, a member of the Tulsa Hot Beats Radio Team, embarked on his musical odyssey as a young violinist, later transitioning to drums and bass guitar under the guidance of his elder brother, Pugs (Ed Jr.). His parents, Ann and Edward, nurtured his musical exploration, with early inspirations including Mozart, Chuck Berry, the Jackson 5, Parliament, and Bootsy Collins. At 13, Juice’s musical landscape broadened to rock music, sparked by Boston’s “More Than a Feeling” and his brother’s extensive album collection.

Despite being a sports star in junior high and high school, Juice’s shyness at dances led him to assist his future mentor, DJ DonJuan The Mixologist, with records. An unexpected turn on the decks, following a brief tutorial from Mix, resulted in a challenging debut, but it ignited Juice’s determination to excel as a DJ.

Under the wing of his friend Charles, aka Doc Savage, and the influential CC& CREW, including Craig aka Dr. Rock, and Howard aka the Scandalous Producer, Juice honed his DJ and MC skills. His talent shone at Tulsa’s inaugural Juneteenth Jubilee, and he became a local sensation, organizing events at Booker T. Washington High School, the YMCA, Letter Carriers Building, and various hotel ballrooms. His success led to collaborations with artists like Roger Troutman Zapp, and Confunkshun.

Juice’s journey took an exciting turn when he joined the U.S. Navy, showcasing his DJ talents globally in locations like Guam, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong. Returning to the U.S., he became a celebrated on-air personality and DJ at KMEL, the Bay Area’s top station.

One of Juice’s most fulfilling achievements has been supporting the rise of his partner, Tanishea DJ TNICE Morrison, who now boasts a significant following and a residency at The Hardrock Hotel and Casino.
